Searching for dynamical black holes in various theories of gravity

چکیده

We construct models of Einstein and $f(R)$ gravity with two scalar fields, which admit analytical solutions describing time-varying dynamical black holes. Their thermodynamics is investigated in the adiabatic approximation. In addition to Misner-Sharp-Hernandez quasilocal mass, we provide time-dependent thermodynamical quantities, including Hawking temperature, Helmholtz free energy, entropy, energy. The latter does not always coincide mass at horizon, although they static limit. For Schwarzschild-type (i.e., ${g}_{tt}{g}_{rr}=\ensuremath{-}1$) holes gravity, one scalars a ghost negative kinetic show that this can be avoided gravity.

Black holes in higher-derivative gravity theories.

We study static spherically symmetric solutions of Einstein gravity plus an action polynomial in the Ricci scalar, R, of arbitrary degree, n, in arbitrary dimension, D. The global properties of all such solutions are derived by studying the phase space of field equations in the equivalent theory of gravity coupled to a scalar field, which is obtained by a field redefinition and conformal transf...

Quantum gravity corrections for Schwarzschild black holes

We consider the matrix theory proposal describing 11-dimensional Schwarzschild black holes. We argue that the Newtonian potential between two black holes receives a genuine long-range quantum gravity correction, which is finite and can be computed from the supergravity point of view. In this large-distance limit, the black hole will be treated as a massive pointlike object. The supergravity res...

Local temperature for dynamical black holes

A local Hawking temperature was recently derived for any future outer trapping horizon in spherical symmetry, using a Hamilton-Jacobi tunneling method, and is given by a dynamical surface gravity as defined geometrically. Descriptions are given of the operational meaning of the temperature, in terms of what observers measure, and its relation to the usual Hawking temperature for static black ho...

Local Hawking temperature for dynamical black holes

A local Hawking temperature is derived for any future outer trapping horizon in spherical symmetry, using a Hamilton-Jacobi variant of the Parikh-Wilczek tunneling method. It is given by a dynamical surface gravity as defined geometrically. The operational meaning of the temperature is that Kodama observers just outside the horizon measure an invariantly redshifted temperature, diverging at the...
